70s/80s symfonisch rock show in visuals, light en sound Knight of the Progs performs the best of sympho from the seventies and eighties of legendary progressive/symphonic rock bands. Famous songs of bands like Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Kansas, Yes, UK, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Marillion, Camel, Kayak, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Focus will be reviewed.
The concept looks a little like that of the Night of the Proms. Big hits and en symphonic classics alternate with each other.
It is of its kind unique! The performance of Knight of the Progs is unique. No other band has dared to accept this enormous challenge.
Live music with a VJ and a beautiful light show It's not just the music. Behind the band a big screen shows authentic movies from the 70's of the original bands from the olden times. These movies are timed by the VJ of Knight of the Progs to the songs that the band is currently performing. A light show completes this multimedia spectacle. A fine mix of music, movies and light.
Theatrical acts between the songs Knight of the Progs also attends to some theatre with an exploratory nature during the show. The history of the symphonic rock will be unfolded in a casual way, supported by door picture and sound. Information, humour, irony: it's all in it.
Knight of the Progs: musicians with an overdose of enjoyment All band members are very experienced musicians. They joined bands like Pink Project, Genesis Project, Mangrove and Salmon. Above all they have one thing in common: they love the seventies/eighties symphonic rock!
Personal Knight of the Progs is:
Roland van der Horst: lead vocals, electric and acoustic guitars
Sven de Haan: bassguitar, basspedals, backing vocals
Whenever possible we will invite guest artists live on stage. For example:
Leslie van der Heul: saxophones
